Responsibilities
- By going far beyond the typical consulting role, this enables us to work closely with our clients from assessment through delivery to prioritize and meet their needs
- Customer relationship development

- The Senior Controls Lead primary responsibilities are developing, leading, and mentoring our Controls team
- This includes providing technical direction for our controls projects as well as input on design projects
- Plan and manage project direction and schedule
- Provide technical leadership for all controls/electrical projects and assist with design projects
- Develop project plans for controls/electrical projects with minimal direction
- Collaborate with team resources to improve internal processes
- Champion quality initiatives and innovation to improve our controls/electrical offerings
- Develop and own the management of controls/electrical standards and practices
- Identify and create recommendations to reduce cost and increase process efficiency
- Conducting reviews of others work, ensuring that all work meet our high standards for results
- Review and comment on controls/electrical aspect of projects
- Communicate with customers as well as other vendors to identify product specifications and electrical design specifications
- Build and lead the team to:
- Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC & HMI solutions
- Design system layouts and I/O schematics and integrate control devices
- Create Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs
- Utilize Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley suite of tools, Inductive Automation Ignition, or Wonderware software to meet customer requirements
- Create a control sequence of operation document to ensure that the design meets customer requirements
- Work with complex PLC programs, electrical control systems, and industrial refrigeration systems to meet customer requirements
- Prepare schematics and specifications for control panel fabrication
- Provide documentation and support to the field wiring team
- Develop industrial graphics that allow the display and control of system status, alarms, etc
- Assist in both internal and customer acceptance testing of subject equipment
- Perform on-site commissioning to implement and validate the system design
- Aid in transitioning systems to customers for system go-live
- Travel to customer locations as needed
