DESCRIPTION:
Data Analyst
The Data Analyst will utilize Power BI to create, implement, and oversee key business metrics and reporting across diverse data sets to identify opportunities for improving business and manufacturing processes. This role involves cross-departmental collaboration, engaging with data and employees throughout the organization, and providing the essential data and information necessary to drive impactful business improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and develop interactive, functional and visually appealing reports and
dashboards.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and other
stakeholders to ensure data availability and quality for Power BI solutions.
• Ensure the scalability and performance of Power BI solutions.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of dashboards.
• Must stay informed about the latest features, updates, and best practices to
utilize them effectively.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, IS, or Business Analytics
preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Power BI required.
• Experience working with data analysis and visualization tools
• Expertise of SQL queries and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Experience in data models and semantic models within Power BI
• Proficiency in DAX and Power Query
• An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• Strong understanding of reporting systems and data structures
• Strong written and presentational business communication skills
• Power BI certification is a plus
