DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a well-established manufacturer here in the Kansas City area, has engaged us in their search for an experienced Control Systems Engineer. This individual’s primary responsibility would be to analyze user requirements and provide technical, electronics, and programming support for internal and external customers.
Other responsibilities would include:
- Program, develop and support Allen Bradley PLC/HMI machine programs as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair machines and accessories in-house or in the field
- Design and develop engineering changes to update old equipment with new components
Qualifications:
B.S. in an Engineering discipline with an additional five years of experience
Strong background configuring and programming custom PLC applications (5+ years of experience)
Experience with motion (kinematics experience a plus) and Variable Frequency Drives
30% travel
Designing custom electrical control panels that comply with UL 508a and NEC standards
Strong communication and leadership skills
