DESCRIPTION:
Claims Manager
Work for a long standing successful company.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing claims personnel including hiring, training, performance reviews, coaching and motivating
- Ensure staff compliance with company policy and addresses all department personnel needs/issues
- Provides technical and jurisdictional guidance to claims staff with compensability, investigation, policy holder issues and litigation issues
- Ability to manage and adjust sensitive or complicated claims within software system
- Sets and achieves annual department goals
- Review of specific high dollar claim files on a set review schedule
- Reporting of large losses and obtaining reimbursement from reinsurance carriers
- Select and grow partnerships with vendors for different needs within the claims department
- Deliver detailed information on policyholders with concerns or needs for further education
- Travel “as needed” to agency partners or policyholder locations
- Collaborate with other departments on projects as required
- Review data analytics and develop measurable metrics for the department
Required:
- 5 Years of Work Com Claims Management Experience
- Supervision
- Monitoring and Reporting
